I don't think that the picture is a Dinotales figure; unless there is an Expo figure, there was never a Kaiyodo Dinotales Dilophosaurus. It is more likely a Dinoland resin model (also by Kaiyodo) but I am not as familiar with the line. I do know that they tend to be far more rare.

Oops, had a brain fart :-[ I do know the difference between the two lines, I forgot.

It happens! But it will make your search easier with the title changed (hopefully--I know these can be really tough to come across).

:)  It just sounds like speculation to me.  Bakker had sauropods with trunks.  Not all big animals in hot climates today have big ears, Rhinos don't.

It was an interesting line, that 'they had big ears like elephants' which would be highly unlikely to fossilize.

One issue I have with any of Prothero's books is that he rarely, if ever, has unique illustrations in them, instead getting permission to re-use existing images from other sources. Especially given the less familiar nature of this book for most readers, some up-to-date illustration could be helpful (of course, that costs much more, which would raise the book price, so it's a trade off).

The Bullyland isn't an orthocone, it's a Belemnite.

These are orthocones:

Kaiyodo Rayonnoceras:

Yowies orthocone (Cameroceras? Not sure).

Any word on when the Geoworld prehistoric mammals are going to be released and where one could find them?

I thought I'd mentioned it here somewhere--they are currently slated for October 2013.

Between that and the August release of the Mojo Prehistoric mammals, it looks like it will be a mammal-y autumn!

The "Ornithosuchus" in the first post is actually supposed to be Megalosaurus, as it's based on this illustration:

)

But dinosaurs, as far as I know, did not have armoured plates on their back (s depcited)--so whatever that artist was trying to do, they ended up making an excellent bipedal crurotarsan/pseudosuchian. Having just learned the difference and all between these groups. the topic might need a new name ;D! Depending on the cladogram...look them up on Wikipedia, it isn't confusing at all :P

Good luck with your business endeavour Sbell! :)

Thanks! It helps to have a web-savvy wife...if I could just extend everyday by about 4 hours I'd have enough time to do everything sooner!

I am almost ready to go live with the GeoWorld stuff; just got Mojo (no 2013 figures yet, sadly). And we'll see where it goes from here!

Oh my God!, I see a lot of figures  ^-^

There is a lot there! And I wasn't even able to get the whole line!

There is an Acinonyx pardinensis picture here you can use

So there is! Thanks for the heads-up, I added it immediately.  ;)

And, you can take it down now...although not very cheetah-like, Geoworld has an official Acinonyx pardinensis in their Ice Age Mammal sets (I got in some small kits and they are clearly labelled on the package and cards).

So those of you who know me may recall that until recently I managed a dinosaur museum with a great (and choosy) gift shop.

Well, I'm not there anymore, but who can stay away from selling dino figures?

So I am just getting started--but my first order is already here!

I have received for sale a wide range of the Jurassic Hunters line. I am still fighting with the website and, for some odd reason, photos (this is the only one that will work for some reason)

But that is such a fun picture! It was more fun when a few fell and knocked the rest over several times...

I have really missed getting in orders--and really missed finding a market for them!

The store will be called FaunaFigures (so, yeah, modern animals will be part of it as well). The website will be faunafigures.com (no hyperlink yet--it's not live! Also, it helps to have a web designer for a spouse!). I will have another order in soon (mostly moderns from Mojo) plus a few other companies as we go along. Any questions? Shoot me an email or message. Something you want, or hope I have? Same thing! When things are set up I will hopefully be able to have a cart in place to be more direct (it's in progress, along with the rest of course).

Thanks for reading! I will keep you all posted!

Maybe it will be like Milo and Otis. Were the Narrator says what the characters are saying despite being animals

It will only work if the narrator is clearly drunk most of the time..

If he created them for this show then they are the studio's property. Just like how he can't technically recreate the animals from Dino Rev I don't think.
That's probably a good assumption. Contracts often include statements of ownership of property created under the contract.

Bullyland Belemnite?

If not is it evean BullyLand?

I am not saying. I think I gave enough hints-

Pretty sure it's out of production
German
Not a dinosaur
Not a reptile
Small figure

EDIT--Oh yeah, and it's aquatic
That should narrow the field nicely!
