Will it have any footage that was not used for Dinosaur Revolution?

It's what Dino Revolution should of been, it's a proper remake. The Renders don't look complicated though, I have hardware than can do that easilly hehe and it will be a lot easier once my two EVGA GeForce GTX 580 3GB's arrive, 1024 Fermi CUDA Cores good for lots of Tessellated renders :)

If this below link is to be believed, this new version is 94 minutes long:

http://www.bva.org.uk/node/1835799

If this new runtime is accurate, I wonder how much we are really losing? We'll have to really see how much time in each episode is spent on exclusive footage (meaning no talking heads or recaps of previously shown or yet-to-be-shown footage and opening/end credits). Only then will we know how much will be cut.

......... talking heads or recaps of previously shown or yet-to-be-shown footage and opening/end credits .......

To me that was really a turn off watching the DVD. Not much care was taken of the film cutting :(.
Unfortunately I already bought the DVD. I'd like to have a version with all the useless stuff being left out.

No worries. I was too stunned of this news once I saw it on Face Book and made a topic about it, it's what my adrenaline does after finding something uber stunning, you forget about everything else, rofl ;D
But what evs, I'll try to evade this next time, even how hard that may be *orthocone*

In my humble opinion they should redo the entire thing with the latest techiques and with David Attenborough, someone everyone understands!
The narrator in this film is terrible. *yuck*

I'm surprised you didn't hear the news here first!  :o
By the way, I see you deleted the trailer from your post, thanks. No need to have the same trailer twice in the same thread.  :)

Heh I have tons of contacts on Face Book and many of the Dino-Riders people are there as well. :)
They plan to make Dino-Riders in CGI format, it's something big and I help them surf up idea's and might also up my Dual Six-Core OpteronDP 2435 D- Istanbul setup with it's two upcoming EVGA GTX 580 3GB Fermi boards in action to render some scenes, well its the plan anyways, I would need the proper software that supports CUDA, SMP and the Opteron x64 instruction set to forward this idea.

And the maker of our CGI film has made contact with the maker of this CGI film, asking advice and such, so yeah this is how I found it.

I'm just wondering what they are going to cut from the original show to make it into this 94 minute version? I am theorizing that it will be stuff from both episode 1 and 3, since those had a bunch of smaller stories. There are definitely a few I wouldn't mind seeing getting the axe (the mosasaur one was not very well done, especially). As for added scenes, it WOULD be good for them to at least include one new story for this new version to give others a reason to fork over the money to see it. The one I would love, love, LOVE to see of course was the dropped Therizinosaur (sp?) segment in the fire! The storyboards and drawings I saw from Pete of that looked amazing and would be perfect for a theatrical setting! I'm sure they got an extra budget boost for this version and maybe it would help create that part.

Now I know there is a Region B Blu Ray of the Dinosaur Revolution (grr...), but is there a Region Free DVD of it? Even so, I wouldn't doubt the chance of Discovery releasing both versions stateside after Dinotasia has had it's run. Who knows?

So actually this new movie is Dinosaur Revolution in a very short version no new added parts? wouldn't that be a it dull?
I am really hooping that anew storyline and new tech CGI has been put to use to make it look better heh, what Jurassic Park III used, that type of CGI would be perfect.

Guys and Girls

There are no talking heads, the narration is used as connective tissue between stories and we've cut it into a nice tight 82 minutes ( I could be off on that by a few minutes). It will be in limited release, stay tuned for theaters.  I am really proud of this feature, it's a much better representation of our storytelling.

I'll be sending out more official information as it comes.

At first welcome to the forums krentz :)

But uhm, why has there been so much cut out? Sorry, but I don't see it as a new product that way :)  *orthocone*
Unless the CGI & sounds were modified or say updated, so it looks and sounds more realistic :P

It's still interesting though :)
