Thanks, metallisuchus.  That was pretty good. I love the art work on metal albums too.  I'll have to post some of my favorite songs here later.
Creation. Is an act of sheer WILL - John Hammond

Cool. The majority of the material on the first 2 albums are similar to that track. They only really vary on the quality of the writing. The 3rd album came much later and was a little odd.

I have pretty diverse music interests like many of you. I do not care much for Rap though.

In no particular order;

Helloween, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Gloria Estefan, Masterplan, Phil Collins/Genesis, Bangles, Sarah Brightman, Powerwolf, Dio, Nightwish, Yngwie, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, John Williams(guitarist), King Diamond, Symphony X, Savatage, Weird Al Yankovic, Tom Lehrer, Fintroll, Graveworm, Dark Tranquillity, Kamelot, & Journey just to name a few.

I do like "Knights In White Satin". Rock Goddess does a cover of it.

This is a track by my favorite band.

Malid, I just noticed your little Ian Malcolm quote thing there... Love the fact that you changed it to first person - makes it funny for some reason.

Anyway, maybe you'll like this classic from 1980...

Thanks Metallisuchus,

Glad you like the Malcolm redo. I wanted to also include "I stood on the backs of geniuses", but it was too long I thought.

Here is a good sample of the type of metal I love...

I can't get the embed to work. Anyone know what's wrong? I copied and pasted the code from youtube.

Malidicus, I've modified your post for you to include the video. For some reason, there was a dot in the last 'youtube' of the full URL, which must have prevented it from showing up. I tried removing it and it works, thankfully.  :)

Ah yeah, power metal. I like some of that stuff, but I'm more into the traditional side of metal, rather than the Helloween-influenced bands. You'd probably like Seven Witches. Ironically, they have a song called "Atlantis" too.

The beginning of the song you posted reminds me of something on "Fear Of The Dark" a bit. Great intro.

They didn't!?

That sucks! >:(
I went to their concert in April and loved it. If that's not hall of fame worthy what is?
